Hello Gang!! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. We had a nice turkey dinner here at work. The food wasn’t my favorite, but it was still nice to gather as a family and sit down to a hot meal. We shared our tables with the patients. We had pies galore; pecan, pumpkin, apple, cherry, sweet potato. The Macy’s parade was on during dinner time, which was completely weird. We’re used to watching it in the morning, not the evening. Our CASF football team played the Trans Squadron team and we won. Then Amanda and I went to play Bingo at the Rec Center. She actually won this time. She won some really nice perfume and cologne. Then we took a little nap before getting ready to come to work for the big dinner. We were quite tired that night with little sleep, but it was well worth watching the football game and playing Bingo. Today is my ten year mark in the Air Force. It’s my hump day!! It’s pretty crazy that the last ten years have gone by so quickly. I can only hope the next ten go by just as quickly. I have met so many wonderful people and have had so many opportunities for travel and work. I really can’t imagine doing anything else. The Air Force has provided me a good life to grow as an adult and be comfortable. Who could ask for more? Speaking of opportunities, you might have heard about the two congressmen who were involved in a head on collision in Baghdad on the news. They were aerovaced to Germany for further medical care. Our CASF was responsible for getting them on the aircraft going to Germany. Pretty cool huh? In terms of keeping ourselves busy, we’re currently watching the 1st season of Veronica Mars and the 2nd season of Once and Again. We’ve been making ornaments for our little Christmas trees we have here at work. We broke out the Christmas music and decorated our room. On December 1st, the theatre is going to be showing Harry Potter Goblet of Fire. You can be sure that I’ll be there. We are also counting down the days until the 5th season of the Gilmore Girls is released. We have been going to the gym faithfully and I managed to log eight miles in my journal yesterday. That’s my longest distance to date since I’ve been here. Anyways, our methods of keeping our sanity are still in full swing. Miss and love you all, Dandy would die for a cup of hot cocoa with Peppermint Schnapps Aaron
