Howdy Gang! I was just thinking about how our patients tug on my heart strings. I thought that helping them with the simple things is what is touching to me. We get these big, burly guys come through here in their prime. They are between the ages of 18-30 and strong and muscular. And then they get injured to the point that they can’t do little things for themselves and become dependent on us to help them. It must be hard to go from one extreme to the other. One day they are bench pressing 250 pounds and the next day they need help feeding themselves or putting on Chap Stick. One day their running five miles a day and the next they can’t even get out of bed to pee. I know that most of them eventually all heal and put their lives together, but it’s never the same way that it was. Just more food for thought fellow thinkers. Have a great day!!
