Happy New Year Gang!! I’m coming home this month!! I’ve waited so long to say that. Anyways, it was shortly before midnight and we were all out on the flight line loading patients onto the aircraft. It was the last mission of the year. We arrived back to the CASF with just minutes to spare to ring in the New Year. We counted down to the stroke of midnight outside at the smoke pit. We toasted with sparkling juice and candy canes. And through the door came two of our crazy co-workers dressed as Father Time and Baby New Year. It was quite a surprise and quite convincing. A vision I’ll never forget. So now that 2006 is here, what do we do next? We’re just trying to take it one day at a time until we get to return to our “normal” lives. I hope your New Year in filled with much contentment and happiness. Love Always, Dandy
